Epilox® 5500 Infusion Laminating System

The Epilox® Laminating System 5500 consists of one epoxy resin and 2 amine hardeners specially designed for the hand lay up process. The system demonstrates good fiber wetting.

Epilox® Laminating Resin ER 5500 is a modified epoxy resin based on Bisphenol A.

It is solvent free and unfilled. Epilox® Hardener EC 5520 has a long potlife with moderate exothermal reaction. The pot life can be adjusted to the specific needs by mixing the .Epilox® Hardener EC 5520 and Epilox® Hardener EC 5530 in any ratio.

Epilox® Hardener EC 5530 has a short potlife and high TG with short curing times.

Epilox® Laminating System 5500 meets DNV-GL requirements.

Applications:

Epilox® Laminating System 5500 is designed for the manufacture of structural composites for the wind energy industry featuring high static and dynamic load ability with glass, carbon and aramid fiber reinforcements.
